Senior IT Analyst

Descriptions:

We are looking for potential candidates with experience / exposure to healthcare systems for the following positions

Position 1: Senior IT Anaylst / IT Anaylst (Clinical Applications)

The role of the Applications department is to define and harmonise all functional requirements across institutions. The Senior IT Analyst/IT Analyst is responsible for technology tracking, coming up with technology strategy, architecture and standards, and recommending solutions for all the applications in the Group.The Senior IT Analyst/IT Analyst has to ensure that quality and standards are met and to play a consultant role in providing advice to users.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The incumbent will be involved in the following:

• Gathering, analyzing and documenting user requests and requirements.

• Facilitating process harmonization and change management.

• Proposing application solutions, documenting functional and design specifications

REQUIREMENTS·

Degree or Diploma preferably in Computing Engineering with 3 - 7 years experience and with at least 3 years’ experience in programming, design and system analysis. · Healthcare professionals with a Medical degree, Nursing degree, Allied Health or equivalent with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in healthcare institutions are welcomed to apply.Having the following would be advantageous:· Good technical knowledge and experience Java technology such as JSP/Servlet, EJB, JMS, etc, Microsoft technology such as Visual Basic, ASP, .Net technologies or SAP applications.

Good technical knowledge and experience in enterprise application design, architecting or software development areas.

• Familiarity with messaging integration between applications with knowledge on certain EAI platform such as Cloverleaf, Neon Integrator, Biztalk, WebMethod, etc and HL7 knowledge

• Have experienced at least 3 Software Development Life Cycles or have managed implementation, deployment and conduct change management of projects (at least two >$200,000).

Position 2: Senior IT Analyst / IT Analyst (Clinical Ancillary)

The role of the Applications department is to define and harmonise all functional requirements across institutions. The Senior IT Analyst/IT Analyst is responsible for technology tracking, coming up with technology strategy, architecture and standards, and recommending solutions for all the applications in the Group.

The Senior IT Analyst/IT Analyst has to ensure that quality and standards are met and to play a consultant role in providing advice to users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will be involved in the following:

• Analyse user requirements, conceptualise application solutions, prepare specifications and deliver proposed solutions as scheduled.

• Facilitate process harmonization and change management.

• Perform application testing and project implementation with knowledge of methodologies and procedures for application testing and quality assurance.

• Perform enterprise application design. This includes gathering requirements, proposing solution, mapping process, documentation, testing and data migration.

REQUIREMENTS

The role of the Applications department is to define and harmonise all functional requirements across institutions. The Senior IT Analyst/IT Analyst is responsible for technology tracking, coming up with technology strategy, architecture and standards, and recommending solutions for all the applications in the Group.

The Senior IT Analyst/IT Analyst has to ensure that quality and standards are met and to play a consultant role in providing advice to users.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The incumbent will be involved in the following:

• Perform execution level functions such as:

o Studying user requirements and preparing specifications

o Drafting test cases and performing detailed tests on systems

o Providing 2nd or 3rd support in problem solving

o Providing applications maintenance and support

o Carrying out software development where required

• Provide advice to users on the usage of healthcare domain, application systems and packages, products, data, etc and recommending solutions

• Assist in evaluation of vendors and their solutions
• Be a technical lead or coordinator for a specific activity where required

• Work with other ITD teams in activities where Applications expertise is required.
